HIA 02 Walrus Beach wreakage - southern scatter Artefact scatter of ship wreckage and other debris at the high tide line. The site consists of a scatter of disarticulated timber pieces, many with iron and copper brass fittings. The location of the site on the beach and the presence of copper fittings indicate an identification of some of the debris as ship wreckage. Extent of debris: approximately 350 by 400 metres long and 20 metres wide. Heard Island Artefacts
