CDLHMC 48 textile Length of faded fawn-coloured material with woolly pile on both sides. Difficult to assess because of access problems but may be two pieces of material that have been sewn together. This artefact is frozen to the shelf between two pieces of paper. It covers an overall area of 270 x 240 x 50 mm. The fabric is about 5mm thick and is uneven in width. CDLHMC 65 wooden box Wooden packing crate with the West facing long end panel removed. Each side has been constructed with three pieces of wood butting togetherand fixed with ferrous nails. Writing can be seen on the Southern side of the box. It printed in black and is not fully legible: GEA(R?/B?). On the top surface of the box is a black mark and the letters AR in black pain. Black marks can also be discerned on the North and East sides of the box. The top end of the box is reinforced with two boards, which were attached with ferrous nails. The construction of the crate is fairly rough. It is frozen into the floor about 200 mm to the North of the bunk at the Western end of the box and about 160 mm North of the bunk at the Eastern end of the box. The dimensions of the box are 395 mm by 280 mm by 540 mm. The boards vary in thickness between 15 and 20 mm. Cape Denison Artefacts
CDLHMC 69 fragment of cloth Fragment of cloth. It is made of light brown material with ribbed parallel lines in the weave. One seam is visible. It is folded and probably is incomplete as traces of broken black threads can be observed. What survives appears to be in good condition. There is black stitchig on an unbroken seam on the western edge of the cloth. Approximately 430 by 150 mm protrudes from the ice. Cape Denison Artefacts

CDLHMC 91 Iron ring Iron ring, apparently constructed from ferrous rectangular tubing, which measures approximately 6 by 7 mm. It is difficult to further assess as it is partially embedded in ice and obcured by tissue paper (CDLHMC 85) and a fibre bundle(CDLHMC 90). Its maximum overall dimension is 190 mm.
