CDNMHB 1 Seal, portion Portion of seal skin and flesh. Some fur survives. Small areas of subcutaneous fat have been exposed where the outer layer of skin has been eroded away. The seal flesh has been roughly cut. It has jagged edges and is very stiff. Cape Denison Artefacts

CDNMHB 13 Seal, portion Portion of seal, partially obscured by snow. It is impregnated with coal particles. Some of the fur survives and is golden in colour. The edges of this piece of seal flesh are quite ragged. Cape Denison Artefacts
CDNMHB 5 Seal blubber Two pieces of seal blubber. No outer skin survives. They are surrounded by coal fragments. Coal fragments are embedded in the blubber, which suggests that it was used as fuel for the stove (Ref). The larger piece of blubber measures 280 x 110 mm and the smaller one measures 95 x 40 mm. CDNMHB 7 Seal, portion Two portions of seal flesh and skin, impregnated with coal fragments and dust. The more northerly measures 160 c 40 mm.
