CDLHMC 79 Metal cigarette can with paper label Cylindrical ferrous metal can with a paper label that reads: Capstan Cigarettes WD &HO Wills ..... There are clear signs of secondary usage for this artefact. A new paper label was attached over the original label. Unfortunately, it is so rust stained that it can no longer be read. Inside the can are metal tacks. Each tack is about 15 mm long. Many of the tacks have spilled onto the floor and now cover an area of about 350 by 250 mm . The tin and the tacks are frozen to the floor. The tacks are all showing signs of rust, as is the can. The can is 80 mm long by 60 mm in diameter. Cape Denison Artefacts
CDLHMC 81 cigarette tin Rectangular tinned ferrous metal cigarette container with rounded edges and rolled seams. The container has a gold coloured tinned surface. The label is printed directly onto the tinned surface (see insription below). The label consists of a green band with gold lettering. The container has a push down li, which meets the base of the box. There appears to have been a paper seal around the join between the lid and the box. It is clear that the box has been opened as the seal is broken. The seal is triangular in shape. and has "Tabard" printed in white on the black paper. The dimensions of the box are 100 mm by 80 mm by 47 mm. Cape Denison Artefacts
