Memorial Cross | The members of the cross were allegedly made of remnants of the radio mast by Bickerton. Each member was 170 mm x 170 mm. It is 3,400 mm high and the span of the cross bar is 2,200 mm. The cross was erected as a memorial to Mertz and Ninnis and was erected on Azimuth Hill to the northwest of the Main Hut in November 1913. A palque was added to the cross with an inscription by Hodgeman. | Cape Denison Artefacts |
