Antarctic Circle
The parallel at 66 degrees 32 minutes south. Due to the inclination of the earth's axis, the sun does not set on one day in the southern midsummer. Similarly, the sun does not rise on one day in the souther midwinter. Within the Antarctic Circle, the number of such days increases, the closer you are to the south pole.
