This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Cape on the NW coast of South Bay, Livingston Island, located 3.57km NW of Hespérides Point and 1.92km NE of Ereby Point. Ends in a rock wide 25m and 4m high. Conspicuous radial crevasses spreading inland. Emerged in a recent glacier retreat. Named after the Bulgarian town of Smolyan.
