Roughly rectangular, ice-covered peninsula forming the NE extremity of Livingston Island. Long 12km in SW-NE direction, wide 9km. Bounded by Hero Bay to the NW, Moon Bay to the SE, and McFarlane Strait to the NE. The NE coast indented by Lister Cove and Dragon Cove. Inott Point and Williams Point form the feature's E and N extremities. The latter was sighted in 1819 from the vessel Williams under Capt. William Smith, marking the discovery of the South Shetlands. UK mapping in 1968. Named after the Bulgarian city of Varna.
