Narrative

La Expedición Antártica Chilena de 1947, al mando del capitán de navío Federico Guesalaga Toro, que efectuó un completo levantamiento de bahía Chile, le dio el nombre islote carpintero Heller por el cabo 2º (Cp) José Heller C., carpintero del buque expedicionario PF. "Iquique". En 1951 se empezó a usar en su forma actual, para evitar el nombre compuesto. Islote pequeño situado a menos de un cable de la punta Correa y a 6 cables al SE de punta Labbé en el interior de bahía Chile en la isla Greenwich, islas Shetland del Sur.
