This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
An east-west gully in the center of exposed rock of northern Nelson Island, near the north border of the Nelson icecap. A small lake in the gully is named Tian Hu, and a seasonal river which has source from the lake is named Qiongjiang He. Two lakes in the south slope of the gully are named separately as Niudu Hu and Hulu Hu. It was named when aerial surveying and mapping in February, 1986.
