This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A gulf south to the investigation beach on Nelson Island. Each time Chinese expeditioners travel south over half an hour from Zhongshan Station, through Fildes Strait and to the great icecap of Nelson Island, they usually land on this gulf. It was named when surveying and mapping in 1986.
