This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A round mountain, 1800 meters northeast to the Great Wall Station, 107 meters above the sea level, constructed by horizontal sedimentary rocks, is a major producer of leaf fossil of Fildes Peninsula. This place was named by Chinese geologic investigators in early 1986.
