This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Qiongjiang Hu is a lake situated on the west foot of Taiyang Shan. During summertime, the ice and snow on the top of the mountain melt into water and flow westwards into the valley. Afterwards, they overflow from the west outlet of the lake and flow along the tortuous Qiongjiang Xiliu of the valley into the sea. It was named when surveying and mapping in early 1986.
