This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Extending from the southwest corner of Fildes Peninsula and the bottom of the northwest slope of Biyu Shan to Drake Passage,the long peninsula attracts seals to appear at the external part with some steep rocks. It was named when aerial photos surveying and mapping in 1993 by Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping.
