This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The stream gradually formed by the snow water from the melted Collins Icecap in the summer which infiltrates to the north into the soil, and eventually flows into the golden bay. It was named when surveying and mapping in 1986.
