Feature type: Hill
This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
It is a hill located 50 meters to the south of the Chinese Zhongshan Station. Because both the azimuth mark of the Russian Progress Station observatory and the control point of the Chinese survey and mapping work are located on the hill's peak, this hill becomes the symbol of Sino-Russian friendship. Thus, during the survey and mapping of the Zhongshan Station in January 1989, the hill was named "Youyi Shan", meaning friendship hill.
