This name originates from Germany. It is part of the Germany Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The mountain chain is striking from Anare Pass and Mount Dalmeny in the SE to the Gregory Bluffs in the NW; it is flanked by Holsteingletscher, Schwabengletscher and McMahon Glacier at its left side and Barnett Glacier and Kirkby Glacier at its right side, Anare Mountains, Pennell Coast, Victoria Land. Surveyed during the German Antarctic North Victoria Land Expedition 1979/80 (Ganovex I).
