This name originates from Germany. It is part of the Germany Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The glacier is a tributary to Ebbe Glacier and bordered by the ranges Stillekette at its right side and Ganovex-Kette at its left side, Anare Mountains, Victoria Land. Surveyed during the German Antarctic North Victoria Land Expedition 1979/80 (Ganovex I).
Holstein is the S part of the German Land (State) Schleswig-Holstein.
