Narrative

The glacier drains parts of Prinzregent-Luitpold-Land W of Littlewood Nunataks and is confluencing with Lerchenfeldgletscher and Penckgletscher, forming a glacier tongue in Herzog-Ernst-Bucht, Prinzregent-Luitpold-Land, Coats Land, Weddell Sea. Discovered during Deutsche Antarktische Expedition 1911/12 under Wilhelm Filchner.

Georg Schweitzer (1850-1940), German explorer, Chairman of the Expedition Committee of the 2nd Antarctic Expedition 1911/12.
