Narrative

rising to c. 300m in NE Liège Island, Palmer Archipelago, was discovered by BeAE and named Mont Allo, after M. Allo, Directeur Général de la Marine at Anvers (Antwerp) (Lecointe, map, 1899; 1900b, photograph p.65; BA, 1916, p.403). Mount Allo (Cook, 1900, map p.xx, p.130; BA 1930, p.81; APC, 1955, p.4). Mt. Alla [sic] (Nordenskjöld and others, 1904b, Vol. 1, p.56). Monte Alto [sic] (Patron S., 1908, end map; [referring to mountain 1km SW of present feature] Argentina. MM chart OO, 1954). Monte Allo (Argentina. MM chart 106, 1949; Pierrou, 1970, p.158; Chile. IHA, 1974, p.25). Monte Oréja Izquierda [=mount left ear] (Argentina. MM chart OO, 1954). Mount Alto [sic] (BA, 1961, p.157).
