flowing SE into Larsen Ice Shelf, S of Stefansson Sound, Wilkins Coast, was surveyed from the ground in its upper part by BGLE in December 1936, but not named (Stephenson, 1940, map facing p.232); surveyed from the ground by USAS in November 1940 and photographed from the air by RARE in 1947; following further survey by FIDS from Stonington Island in November 1947, identified as the feature first seen in 1936 and named after Alexander Anthony of J.P.
