Narrative

rising to c. 1300m on N side of Uranus Glacier, Alexander Island, after map compilation by FIDS in 1959 from air photographs taken by RARE in 1947, was named in association with the glacier after Ariel, a satellite of Uranus (APC, 1961, p.2; DOS 710 sheet 14, 1963; BAS 250P sheet SR 19-20/14, 1-DOS 1974).
