in Neny Bay, Marguerite Bay, Fallières Coast, was roughly mapped by BGLE in 1936 and by USAS in 1940-41; surveyed by FIDS from "Stonington Island" in 1947 and named Beaumont Islet after The Port of Beaumont, Texas, the ship of RARE, which wintered in Back Bay from April 1947 to February 1948 (APC, 1955, p.5; BA chart 3213, 23.iii.1956).
