Man-made wharf, Rothera Research Station, Adelaide Island. Named after RRS John Biscoe, first ice strengthened supply and scientific research vessel of the British Antarctic Survey in service 1956-1991, was the first vessel to use the wharf facility in March 1991 (APC, 1993).
