Armand Bombardier (1908-64), Canadian engineer, who developed the snowmobile, one of the earliest successful oversnow vehicles, 1926-37; later President and General Manager, L'Auto-Neige Bombardier Lté (Bombardier Snowmobile Ltd.), Valcourt, PQ, makers of Muskeg tractors and Ski-doos (APC, 1964, p.2; BAS 250 sheet SQ 19-20/4, 1-DOS 1974).
