Narrative

rising to c. 1250m SE of Curtiss Bay, Davis Coast, was photographed from the air by FIDASE in 1956-57; in association with the names of pioneers of aviation in this area, named after Matthew Piers Watt Boulton, English inventor of ailerons for lateral control of aircraft in 1868 (APC, 1960, p.3; BA chart 3560, 7.iv.1961).
