SE side of North Foreland (q.v.), King George Island, was called North Foreland Head (Ferguson, 1921, map p.38); photographed from the air by FIDASE in 1956; named Caroline Bluff after the sealing ship Caroline (Capt. D. Taylor, Taylor Point, q.v.), from Hobart, Tasmania, which visited the South Shetland Islands in 1821-22 (APC, 1960, p.3; DOS 610 sheet W 62 56, 1968).
