Narrative

A group of three small islands, 6 km north of the Stanton Group off Mac.Robertson Land. Probably first seen by BANZARE (1930-31) under Sir Douglas Mawson.

Named For

Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936-37, and named Einstödingane. Einstøding” means something like recluse, loner or outsider in Norwegian.
