W of Cape Garcia, Graham Coast, was roughly charted by FAE, 1903-05, and named Île du Chaylard after M. du Chaylard, French Minister Plenipotentiary at Montevideo, who assisted the expedition when it called there in December 1903 (Charcot, 1906b, p.xxxv, 475; 1906a, map facing p.316; BA, 1916, p.408).
