NE side of Stonington Island, Marguerite Bay, Fallières Coast, was surveyed by USAS, 1940-41 (Dyer, map, c. 1941), and resurveyed by FIDS, 1946-47; so named because it was one of the best places for hauling stores ashore for the FIDS/BAS station on the island (APC, 1955, p.11).
