Heer, Jr (d.1983), Program Director (atmospheric physics), Office of Antarctic Programs, USNSF, who visited "McMurdo Station", Ross Dependency, 1965-66 and 1966-67 (USGS sketch map Ellsworth Land-Palmer Land, 1969; APC, 1975, p.4).
