Narrative

in Darbel Bay, Loubet Coast, were photographed from the air by FIDASE and surveyed from the ground by FIDS from "Detaille Island", 1956-57; in association with the names of glaciologists grouped in this area, named after Dudley Arthur Kidd (b. 1863), British physicist who, with J.C. McConnel (McConnel Islands, q.v.), made pioneer tests of the deformation of single ice crystals in 1888 (APC, 1960, p.5; BA chart 3570, 29.ix.1961).
