Narrative

rising to c. 600m S of Mount Bransfield, Trinity Peninsula, following survey by FIDS from "Hope Bay", 1960-61, was named after Dr Roy Martindale ("Fritz") Koerner (b.1932), FIDS meteorological observer and glaciologist, "Hope Bay", 1958-60; glaciologist, Canadian Polar Continental Shelf Project from c. 1965; mem- ber, British Trans-Arctic Expedition, 1968-69 (W.W. Herbert, Herbert Plateau, q.v.) (APC, 1964, p.3; BAS 250 sheet SP 21-22/13, 1-DOS 1974).
