Narrative

three off-shore rocks on NW side of Nelson Strait, ENE of Newell Point, Robert Island, following air photography by FIDASE, 1956-57, and in association with the names of nineteenth-century sealers in this area, were named after the British sealing ship Liberty (Capt. Peacock) from Newcastle, which visited the South Shetland Islands, 1821-22 (APC, 1962, p.19; BA chart 1774, 14.ix.1962).
