rising 3m above sea level NE of Faure Islands, Marguerite Bay, Fallières Coast, was charted by an RN Hydrographic Survey Unit from John Biscoe in 1966 and so named in reference to its being ice-covered and easily mistaken for floating ice, especially at high water (BA, 1972, p.38; APC, 1974, p.5).
