An area of ponds and moist ground supporting a significant biota for such a southerly, relatively dry region. Located at the junction of Mars Glacier and King George VI Sound, at the foot of Two Step Cliffs, Alexander Island. Named in association with Mars Glacier q.v. (APC, 1994).
