rising to c. 1250m between Mount Helen and Mount Agamemnon, Achµan Range, Anvers Island, was surveyed by FIDS from "Arthur Harbour" in 1955; in association with other names from Homer's Iliad in this range, named after Menelaus, King of Sparta (fl. c. 1200 BC), husband of Helen and younger brother of Agamemnon (APC, 1958, p.5; BA chart 3566, 16.ix.1959).
