rising to 885m E of Mount Flora, Hope Bay, Trinity Peninsula, was surveyed by FIDS from "Hope Bay" in 1945 and named descriptively (APC, 1955, p.16; Anderson, 1957, p.95; DOS 310 Hope Bay sheet, 1961); further surveyed by FIDS from "Hope Bay" in July 1955. An Argentine refuge hut, called "Islas Malvinas", was established at the nunatak early in 1958 but lost its roof later in the year, and was reported derelict in 1960.
