rising to 1160m W of Blaiklock Glacier, W Shackleton Range, extending NW-SE from Mount Lowe to Wyeth Heights, and including also MacQuarrie Edge, Mount Haslop, Trey Peaks, Mount Homard, Mount Pivot and Turnpike Bluff, were surveyed by TAE in October 1957; named after the de Havilland DHC-3 Otter aircraft which supported TAE and made the first trans-Antarctic flight by a single-engined aircraft (Lewis Chain, q.v.) (APC, 1974, p.5; BAS 250P sheet SU 26-30/1, 1-DOS 1978).
