rising to 1695m SW of Patuxent Ice Stream, forming S-most main rock feature in BAT, and comprising from N to S Lulow Rock, Damschroder Rock and Horton Ledge, was surveyed from the ground by USGS, 1961-62, and photographed from the air by USN in 1964; named after William Thomas Pecora (1913-72), Director, USGS, 1965-71, who pioneered the use of satellite imagery for mapping (USGS sheet SV 11-20/8*, 1968; APC, 1974, p.5).
