Narrative

NW of Jasper Point, Fildes Peninsula, King George Island, following surveys by SAE from "Bellingshausen Station" from 1968, was named Ozero Glubokoye [= deep lake] or Lake Glubokoye (Govorukha and Simonov, 1973a, map p.10; 1973b, map p.370). Profound Lake (APC, 1980, p.5). The lake is the site of the Uruguayan station "Artigas" (Fildes Peninsula, q.v.). Lago Glubokoe (Brazil. Península Fildes map, 1984).
