S of Ferin Head (q.v.), Holtedahl Bay, Graham Coast, was so named following the establishment of a FIDS station there, 2 February 1957 (APC, 1958, p.6; BA chart 3213, 12.viii.1960). The station, originally called "Base J" or "Graham Coast" but later "Prospect Point", was continuously occupied until evacuated, 23 February 1959. Punta Prospect (Chile. DNH chart 1502, 1962; IHA, 1974, p.232). "Prospekt-Poynt", referring to the station (Soviet Union. AA, 1966, Pl.24).
