Schirmacher, USGS topographic engineer in charge of survey with the USGS Lassiter Coast party, 1969-70 and 1970-71; Leader, USGS Pine Island Bay (Marie Byrd Land) reconnaissance, 1974-75 (BAS 250 sheet SR 19-20/16, 1-DOS 1976; APC, 1977, p.29).
