WNW of Ula Point, E James Ross Island, was roughly surveyed by FIDS from "Hope Bay" in 1945 and resurveyed in August 1953; named descriptively because, viewed from seaward, the feature resembles the skep type of beehive (APC, 1958, p.6; DOS 610 sheet W 64 56, 1961). Cabo Wilde [sic], possibly after Cdr J.R.F. Wild, RNVR (Point Wild, q.v.) (Argentina. IAA map, [1959c]).
