Narrative

rising to c. 125m at head of Botany Bay, Trinity Peninsula, was sighted by SwAE in 1903; surveyed by FIDS from "Hope Bay" in December 1946 and so named from the marked stratification in a cliff on the seaward side of the hill (APC, 1955, p.20; BAS 250 sheet SP 21-22/13, 1-DOS 1974); further surveyed by FIDS, 1959-60.
