Valley running from an ice-field below precipitous cliffs ESE of Massey Heights to Shrove Bay, James Ross Island. Named in association with a river which flows under the two separate ice fields and emerges approx. 0.5km downstream from an ice cave on to a deltaic plain (APC, 1993).
