a low-lying area with a central pond, between Starfish Cove and Heywood Lake, Signy Island, was surveyed by FIDS in 1947 and so named because most of the moulting elephant seals on the island wallow there in the summer (APC, 1955, p.22; Matthews and Maling, 1967, end map; [wrongly positioned to the NE] DOS 210 Signy Island sheet, 1-DOS 1973; [correctly positioned] 2-DOS 1975).
