running NE-SW at c.1050m between Hampton Glacier and Sullivan Glacier, N Alexander Island, was so named by BAS following surveys from 1968; the pass falls away steeply to the SW between high cliffs, so that the descent by sledge is fast and exhilarating as suggested by the name (BAS 250P sheet SR 19-20/5 (Ext.), 1-DOS 1978; APC, 1980, p.5).
