John Valentine Wilkinson, RN (1914-86), commanding the guardship HMS Protector (Protector Heights, q.v.) in BAT and FID waters, 1955-57, who was responsible for the rescue by helicopter of two members of FIDS stranded on Roux Island, 10 November 1956 (APC, 1959a, p.12; BA chart 3571, 14.vii. 1961).
