running N-S and rising to c.800m S of Tumble Glacier, E Alexander Island, was surveyed by FIDS from "Stonington Island", 1948-49, and so named from the striped appearance of the rock strata (APC, 1955, p.22; BAS 610 sheet W 70 68, 1960; BAS 250P sheet SR 19-20/9, 1-DOS 1978).
